Jodha Akbar: Salim Is To Live The Life Of A Poor Child

Jodha Akbar November 14th episode: Hamida stands up and speaks for Rukaiya. She orders Akbar to stop Rukaiya’s punishment, being the Chief Lady of the State. She says that Rukaiya has the right to speak in favour of Salim or make some attempt to stop his punishment. Akbar forgives Rukaiya. He declares that Salim is guilty and he will be punished. He will stay in the hut of Fatima Bi and do all the works which Kader used to do. He will live the life of a poor boy and will get no assistance in his works.

Salim starts crying and begs for mercy. He appeals to everyone including Rahim, Jodha and Akbar himself. Akbar tells him never to bow his head in front of anyone except God.

Salim leaves the palace with teary eyes. Rahim takes him to the hut of Fatima Bi. All of them become upset seeing the ramshackle hut. Even Fatima Bi herself says that she is overwhelmed seeing Akbar’s justice; she requests Rahim to take Salim back. Rahim says it is not possible. He leaves Salim there. Akbar orders Rahim to take care of Salim’s security.

Rahim comes back to the palace with a grim face. Jodha understands that Salim is in utter pain. She is not able to control her emotions. Hamida comes to Akbar and asks how long Salim will stay out of the palace. He replies that Salim will stay in Kader’s hut until Kader recovers. He refuses to take Salim back earlier as he wants to teach him a lesson. The brothers become sad in Salim’s absence; even Murad and Haider feel bad while they always have been jealous of Salim! Murad says that Nadira is to blame for everything.
