Jodha Akbar: Nadira’s Voice Enchants The Mughal Court

Jodha Akbar November 6th episode: Salim wears the crown of the would-be king and complains that it is too heavy. Akbar tells him that the responsibilities are heavier. He also gives him some administrative powers. He announces that Salim will be present in the court everyday. Daniyal, Qutub and Haider are also rewarded with administrative powers according to their positions.

Akbar wants to start the court session. Some men are presented in front of him, as they tried to rebel against the Mughal kingdom. Akbar orders to kill them by smashing their heads under elephant’s leg.


Salim stops Akbar and argues that the punishment is inhuman. Akbar changes the punishment and becomes happy seeing that Salim is participating in the court session. Salim tells Jodha that he likes to play instead of sitting at the court. Akbar laughs at him.

Salim comes to Rukaiya. She gives him a beetle leaf with marijuana, to make him addicted to it and to have power over him. Salim takes the beetle and thinks whether it would be right to chew beetle. Suddenly he looks through the window and sees Nadira, as she has come to attend a festival in the palace with her parents. Salim leaves the beetle to meet Nadira.

Akbar arranges a festival to celebrate Salim’s new position. Nadira sings in the court and her melodious voice fascinates everyone. Akbar comes to know that this is Zilbahar’s daughter who was named by him. He wants to reward her. She says that she wants to see the whole palace. Akbar grants it.
