Sister, My Reason To Live: Arjun Kapoor On Anupam Kher Show!

Arjun Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were on The Anupam Kher Show, where the Kapoor cousins got talking about their career, weight loss issues and their families, especially their moms and their role in their life.

"My mother was, is and will always be my backbone. Before losing her life to cancer and before the disease took over I don't think I knew any other person who was always happy. Whatever I'm today is because of her and I have fond memories of her smiling at me."

An obese until recently, Arjun Kapoor and over-weight-for-a-year, Sonam Kapoor, both had issues with their weights before they got serious with their lives. Now since both have found themselves and have established themselves as successful actors, they get to talk about their journey so far.

"It took me 4 years to lose 50kgs and this happened after Salman Sir said to me, 'Tumhare andar se main ek insaaan nikalunga.' He actually did that! I has decided I would not give up and continues working towards it."

While Arjun says that his mother was and still remains the backbone in his life, and that his sister is his only reason to live, Sonam Kapoor confesses that his mother is a strong force in his life who is keeping her grounded.

Born and brought up in Bollywood families, it is easy to assume that Arjun and Sonam Kapoor have had luxurious, easy lives and got things done by default considering their families. But the young Kapoors had a different story to tell about their lives before Bollywood and how they got here.

Arjun conculded the show by saying, " If a boy like me who was way too fat can today feature on the cover of a magazine, that too bare body, then I believe 'life mein kuch bhi ho sakta hai!"
