Shankar Nag's Malgudi Days Travels Time

The classic award winning TV series Maldugi Days will soon travel time to reach the internet era. All the episodes the TV series based on the works of RK Narayan, will now be available on Youtube.

The thirty-nine episode of Malgudi Days directed by acclaimed actor/ director Shankar Nag are treasured as a classic. Anyone who were alive during the 80's would know the classic tales of Malgudi Days. The TV series based on the works of RK Narayan, the show was directed by acclaimed actor/ director Shankar Nag.

Most of the stories are from the books A Horse and Two Goats, Malgudi Days, Swami and Friends and The Vendor of Sweets. The famous character Swami played by Master Manjunath went on to become the most famous TV characters ever created.

The show was aired on Doordarshan initially and subsiquently was re-telecast on the same channel and later on Sony Entertainment Television and Maa TV in Telugu. Now the rights of the show is brought by the company, Rajshri, who have put the entire series on YouTube.

The series, that is entirely shot near Ambige, in Shimoga, Karnataka, created a beautiful picture of RK Narayan's Malgudi. And now with the series reaching internet, the show has the high chance of reaching more people than it was until now.
