episode:
Children
comes
to
Saras’s
house
for
the
holy
feast
of
Navaratri.
Little
girl
Mishti
keeps
asking
Saras
about
Kumud.
Saras
tells
her
that
Kumud
is
lost.
She
informs
Saras
that
she
and
her
mom
met
her
three
days
before.
Saras
asks
Mishti’s
mom
about
Kumud.
She
says
that
she
saw
Kumud
in
the
bazar
area
with
an
old
rusty
ghungru
in
her
hand.
Saras
rushes
to
the
bazar
and
finds
out
the
shop.
He
comes
to
know
about
Sundarnagar
and
promptly
starts.
He
only
inform’s
Kumud’s
mother
and
tells
her
to
keep
it
as
a
secret.
Kumud
sticks
to
her
principle
of
refusing
food.
She
tells
Sunanda
that
her
honour
is
more
precious
to
her
than
her
life.
She
will
not
eat
a
single
grain,
neither
will
she
dance
at
Sunanda’s
instruction.
The
man
who
watches
Kumud’s
spirit
for
a
long
time,
insists
Sunanda
that
she
should
let
her
go
and
he
will
bring
some
other
girl
for
her.
She
makes
fun
of
him
saying
that
he
must
have
fallen
in
love.
Two
girls
come
in
Kumud’s
room.
One
of
them
tells
her
that
she
can
never
go
out
of
this
house
and
she
must
accept
her
fate.
She
insists
on
making
the
preparation
of
Kumud’s
bathing
for
the
dance
performance
and
leaves
the
room.
The
other
girl
comes
near
Kumud
and
says
that
if
she
wants
to
get
out
of
the
hell,
she
must
keep
herself
strong.
She
tells
her
about
her
own
plight,
how
she
found
it
hard
to
accept
the
grim
reality,
how
she
kept
thinking
of
an
escape,
to
never
be
able
to
escape.
The
girl
tells
Kumud
that
her
name
is
Kusum;
she
offers
food
from
her
own
hand.
Kumud
cannot
refuse
this.
She
takes
the
food
and
remembers
her
own
sister,
with
teary
eyes.
