The Red Carpet event of the much awaited Star Parivaar Awards 2014 took place yesterday, with some Star Parivaar staples, and some unexpected guests! Of course, the members of the Star Parivaar, like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's Divyanka Tripathi, Diya Aur Baati Hum's cast, lovebirds Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi and so on had to be present, but guess who we found apart from these usual suspects? Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao! Unbelievable, right?

The actor, who has attended barely 5 award functions in tinseltown and on TV, made an appearance with his director-wife Kiran Rao, not to receive an award, but to promote the third installment of his baby, Satyamev Jayate.

The sweet couple was at the awards night to talk about the third installment of his show, Satyamev Jayate. "I have come to an award function after almost 20-25 years. I just wanted to see how things work now," Aamir said at the Star Parivaar Red Carpet. On the third season of Satyamev Jayate, he said " The research is on and I am looking for newer issues that need to be highlighted."
