Bigg Boss 8: What Made Dimpy Mahajan Change Her Name During School Days?

Dimpy Mahajan of Bigg Boss 8 had a completely different name, here is the reason that made her change her name and come out into the world with a completely different name.

It's Saturday and as usual all the contestants would meet Salman Khan. While interacting with Salman on Weekend Ka War, Dimply revealed about the secret behind her name. She revealed that, her real name is not Dimpy but its Shomasri Ganguly but later it was changed to Dimpy by her father.

Her father changed her name to Dimpy when she was a kid because he thought that it's a complicated name and difficult to pronounce. Dimpy also shared that she was very fond of her name as her grandfather had kept that name.

Dimpy is a model and actress who shot to fame for her marriage with Rahul Mahajan on reality television show, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega. They were last seen as couple in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5.

Dimpy and Rahul, after having their share of ups and downs in their married life, had finally decided to part ways. Sources say Dimpy's alleged relationship with a Dubai-based guy, who owns an event management company, is the reason for their divorce. As per reports, Dimpy knew her current boyfriend even before her marriage to Rahul. Even Rahul is aware of the relationship. The two have been staying separately for almost a year now.

Dimpy relocated to Dubai around six months back. Though they participated in a couple of dance reality show last year, it was all hogwash. Although Rahul Mahajan has denied any such rift in his married life, rumours of their divorce are already doing the rounds.

But, after seeing Ali Quli Mirza and Dimpy Mahajan's chemistry on Bigg Boss 8 looks like Dimpy might give herself another chance.
