Former Indian batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is currently featuring in Comedy Nights With Kapil was been hospitalised in New Delhi. Sidhu is diagnosed with life-threatening neurological problem - DVT acute Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Few hours back Sidhu tweeted a photo (below) of him being treated in hospital. Sidhu wrote, "Down but Not Out! Life threatening disease (DVT) With God 's Grace will recover. Life is Fragile, handle with Prayer."

A statement issued by Indraprastha Apollo Hospital authorities said, "Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life threatening condition if not treated on time. Mr Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now."

DVT is caused by a blood clot in deep veins that affects the normal blood flow. Non-specific symptoms include pain, redness, swelling, warmness and engorged superficial veins.

Kiku Sharda was quoted by TOI as saying, "I just got this news from you. I just pray that he gets well soon and comes out fit and fine. As far as telecast is concerned, we have enough bank with us. The next shooting is on October 13, 2015, and I hope he will be out of hospital by that time.

Kiku added, "We also have shot with Shandaar cast which will go on-air on Oct 18, 2015. So I don't think we need to worry."

We wish Sidhu paji a speedy recovery....
