Diya Aur Baati Hum: Lalima Agrees To Marry Sooraj

Diya Aur Baati Hum's August 5th episode: Bhabho convinces Lalima and her brother Lokesh that Sooraj is a good match for Lalima. She says that Goddess Parvati was never unhappy in spite of being the second wife of Lord Shiva. Lalima is impressed by her words.

The village doctor Devi Narayani comes to Manjari’s hut and calls ‘Sagarika’; Sandhya comes out. Narayani tells her that she never believes in love because love has killed her soul.

The lady keeps saying that she loved a person who did not belong to this village; later she came to know that he was an IPS officer, an enemy of the village. So, she killed him with a dagger and paid homage to her motherland.

After Narayani leaves, Manjari tells Sandhya that Narayani was titled as ‘Devi Narayani’ after she made this great sacrifice for her village. Shekhar watches everything; he thinks that Narayani’s outburst is an effect of country liquor. He will apply the same thing upon ‘Sagarika’, to know her truth.

Lokesh comes to the Rathi house while all the family members are present. He tells Bhabho that he is ready to accept Sooraj’s match with his sister Lalima. She promises Lokesh that Sooraj will make his sister happy.

After Lokesh leaves, Meenakshi says it is impossible to hide the matter of Sooraj’s mental disturbance from Lalima. Emily thinks it is impossible to remove Sandhya from Sooraj’s heart, because he still loves her immensely. Their companionship is like a lamp and its flame, says Emily. Bhabho says that it is a matter of the past!
