Diya Aur Baati Hum: Sandhya Cleverly Escapes Shekhar’s Trap

Shekhar gives country liquor to Sandhya, saying it is her anti-venom medicine. He intends to intoxicate her with a view to knowing her truth. Sandhya feels dizzy after she consumes the whole of it. She doubts that she has been intoxicated.

Sandhya recalls that her Boss warned her about this trick of intoxication, which the enemies may apply upon her to know her truth. The Boss told her about a wild leaf which can cure any kind of intoxication within a few minutes. She goes into the jungle and finds the pink colored leaves. She overcomes the dizziness after chewing a few leaves.

Sandhya understands that the Garjana men have done this to her. She attends the village function with a pretension of intoxication and starts dancing with a seductive number. Everybody thinks she is out of her mind.

Soon Sandhya says that she is not ‘Sagarika’! Shekhar hopes that he will know the truth now and kill the woman! But to his utter frustration, Sandhya says she is a witch, as Manjari calls her.

Manjari comes to the stage to stop Sandhya. Sandhya shouts at her. She complains to the villagers that this woman keeps torturing her always, even after she respects her like a mother. Shekhar thinks Sandhya is truly ‘Sagarika’.

Sandhya thinks she has finally won the trust of Garjana; now she will start investigating their future plans. Shekhar declares the terror plot of Garjana, to be executed on the Independence Day.

In the Rathi house Bhabho calls a priest to select a wedding date for Sooraj and Lalima. The priest suggests that the 15th of August is a holy day for wedding.
