Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani's latest episode had Gayatri (Drashti Dhami) saving Ranaji's (Siddhant Karnick) life. Even after this Ranaji refuses to acknowledge her nor give her credit for it instead treats her with vengeance.
Ranaji and Gayatri get engaged by exchanging rings in the recent episode. While Gayatri was eager to get engaged to Ranaji, he was hesitant to even place the ring on her finger and only manages to do it due to Rajmatha's insistence.

After the engagement, Ranaji and Gayatri meet outside. He questions her why she misinformed him about being the daughter of someone else when she was Gopal Seth's. Ranaji looks unconvinced when she says she was only scared and before he blames her of deceiving, a huge sculpture starts descending which would have crushed Ranaji to death if not for Gayatri's presence of mind.
Gayatri saves Ranaji and when she tries to tend to his wound, he stops her from touching him or even come anywhere close to him. Perplexed, Gayatri wonders if it was because she lied about her father that he is so angry with her.
