Gautam Rode, who became popular with the show Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saraswatichandra, will be soon seen on small screen again. This time the handsome hunk will be seen playing the role of Karn in the brand new show Suryaputra Karn.

Gautam wrote on Twitter posting the (Below) picture of his new avatar for his new show Suryaputra Karn, "Suryaputra karn coming soon 😉 @SonyTV."

Gautam also retweeted Sony TV's poster (Below) which was captioned, "@gautam_rode nibhayenge Mahabharat ke sabse sarvshreshth yodha, #SuryaputraKarn ka kirdaar!"

The actor has started shooting for the show and the actor recently shared on the sets pictures. With the pictures, we can say that the actor has really worked hard to tone up his body.

Suryaputra Karn is based on the Karn's life which is the mythological character of Hindu epic "Mahabharata".

Regarding the role and the show, Gautam was recently quoted by IANS as saying, "I am completely thrilled to play the role of Karn on screen. As an actor, I love exploring different characters and Karn is the kind of role which is completely different from what I have played so far."

Explaining about the character, Gautam said that Karn's character in Mahabharata is the most interesting one and he always stood for ‘karma' rather than ‘dharma'. Karn did everything for the people and hence, was known as ‘daanvir'.

Gautam was previously seen in shows like Maha Kumbh and Parichay. The actor's fans will be all excited to see Gautam in new avatar.
