Jodha Akbar: Akbar To Declare Himself As Demigod

Jodha Akbar February 16th episode: Anarkali reprimands Salim for reading her letters stealthily. She tells him to leave the house. Salim sits on his knees and heartily begs apology from her. He says that neither he wanted to frame her as a thief, nor to keep her in brothel. He begs apology for everything.

Anarkali says that she can pardon him for everything, but not for her father’s death as his apology cannot bring her father back. She says that she will hate him forever. Salim shows her the letters where she has expressed her love for him. Anarkali replies that it was for ‘Qutub’. And she burns all the letters.

Jodha keeps thinking about Salim’s connection with Anarkali. She shares her tension with Moti and tells her to investigate the matter. Moti eavesdrops when Man Bai and Daniyal talk about Anarkali. Man Bai tells Daniyal that Anarkali was her friend and make-up artist and she has become a whore by misfortune.

Akbar is flattered by a group of sycophants and he decides to declare himself as equal to God. Birbal, Todarmal and other well-wishers try to stop him, but he remains ignorant. He orders to make a coin with the symbol of God on one side and his symbol on another. Jodha tries to prevent Akbar, but for no result.

The coin makers deny to make such a coin going against the rule of Islam according to which God is supreme. They are whipped for this refusal. Jodha sees a horrifying dream at night and becomes worried. In the morning Akbar tells her that he is going to introduce the coin and announce Salim’s marriage with Man Bai. Jodha requests her to postpone it for a few days. He refuses.
