Jodha Akbar: Salim Confesses His Love To Anarkali

Jodha Akbar February 17th episode: Moti informs Jodha that Anarkali is Man Bai’s friend. Jodha goes to Man Bai to know more about Anarkali. She casually asks Man about her friends. Man tells her about Anarkali who is a close friend of hers. She adds that Anarkali was her make-up artist in Ajmer and she has become a whore by misfortune. She also shows the peacock mangtika which Anarkali gave her in the festival!

Salim tells Qutub that he has to meet Anarkali and beg her pardon for his mistakes. Qutub says that Salim is feeling so bad only because he is in love with her. He encourages Salim to confess his love before it is too late.

Jodha tells Salim to attend the evening function arranged by Akbar. Salim promises to come within time and leaves to meet Anarkali. He catches Anarkali and tells her that he is dying every moment with the deepest feeling of repentance.

Salim confesses his love for Anarkali. He says that he immensely loves her and he can leave his family and his position to spend the life with her. She replies that leaving own family for love is nothing but selfishness.

Akbar meets the common people in the evening function. He introduces the coin with the symbol of God on one side and his symbol on another. He declares himself as a demigod who is able to fulfill all the wishes of the common people.

The thunder and lightning scare everyone as it hints something ominous. Jodha tells Birbal that she does not support Akbar’s view. Akbar also announces Salim’s marriage with Man Bai, but sees that Salim is absent in the program.
