Jodha Akbar: Jodha Worried For Salim, Meets Anarkali

Jodha Akbar February 18th episode: Akbar is extremely angry with Salim as he has missed the marriage announcement. Salim comes to his room and thinks about Anarkali. He takes opium and becomes intoxicated. Jodha is alarmed by Akbar’s anger and rushes to Salim’s room.

Jodha scolds Salim for his irresponsibility and asks for its explanation. He ignores her. When Akbar comes to see Salim, Jodha lies that Salim is ill. Akbar tells him to take rest and leaves.

Salim becomes arrogant. He goes to Akbar and says that he hates Akbar and the Mughal palace. Jodha requests Akbar to excuse Salim for his illness. Akbar doubts that Salim has taken opium, seeing his red eyes. He calls a doctor. Rukaiya bribes the doctor to hide the matter of opium. The doctor says that Salim is suffering from fever.

Moti informs Jodha that Salim went to meet Anarkali when he was supposed to be present in the function. Jodha says that she wants to meet Anarkali as soon as possible. Man Bai comes to Salim to talk with him, as she is going back to Ajmer soon.

Salim excuses himself with the reason of illness. Man Bai is hurt. She sees Anarkali coming inside the palace. She shares her pain with Anarkali as she feels that Salim does not like her. Anarkali comforts her.

Jodha asks Anarkali about her connection with Salim and mentions the peacock mangtika. Anarkali lies that she never wore the mangtika and she gave it to Man Bai. She also says that Salim immensely hates her and he met her because he does not want her to stay in Agra. Jodha feels that Anarkali is hiding something.
