Jodha Akbar: Anarkali Decides To Become A Tabawaif

Jodha Akbar February 3rd episode: Anarkali spends a whole night in the brothel. Salim comes to the brothel area and announces that the whores are invited to the palace. They will perform in front of the emperor and three of them will be selected for the final program of anniversary.

A senior woman of the brothel calls a meeting and tells all the prostitutes to give their best performance in the palace and win prizes. She sees Anarkali in the morning and sympathizes. She questions who has brought the girl to the place. Another woman says that she has kept Anarkali as a captive, as per the order of prince Salim.

The first woman opines that whores have some principles too; they cannot compel someone to stay in the brothel. The second woman replies that she was ordered to keep Anarkali just for one night and release her, so that her reputation is permanently spoilt.

King Bhagwandas comes to Agra with his family. Jodha dreams about the marriage of Man Bai and Salim. Rukaiya thinks that she will spoil the dream of Jodha.

Anarkali is released from the brothel, but she is disturbed by several men in the street with lewd remarks. She manages to see her parents again. A doctor comes and prescribes costly medicines for Rashid.

Zilbahar worriedly asks Anarkali where she was for such a long time. Anarkali replies that she was with Sakina to arrange money for Rashid’s treatment. She again goes to arrange money and comes to Sakina’s house. Sakina’s father insults her and expels.

Anarkali remembers that the whores are going to take part in the fest and win prizes. She comes to the brothel again and says that she wants to join there. The chief becomes surprised. Anarkali tells her that her honour is not more important than her father’s life!
