Jodha Akbar: Anarkali’s Father Dies Without Treatment

Jodha Akbar February 6th episode: The function of anniversary becomes colourful with various performances. Now the women of the brothel are to perform in front of the king and the queen. Anarkali dances with injured feet. Salim and his brothers become stunned seeing her. Man Bai is surprised too. Jodha remembers that she met the girl in the darga. She is surprised to think that a whore can have such an innocent face.

Anarkali’s dance wins accolades from all. She is rewarded in bounty and declared the court dancer by Akbar. Akbar declares that he is already in good relation with Ajmer, still he is going to set another tie. He declares Salim’s engagement with Man Bai. Not only that, he orders Anarkali to prepare a piece of performance for the function!

The other two girls who came from the brothel are about to leave. One of them sees Haider and remembers that Haider went to her room in the brothel, but could not enjoy her company. She is about to share it with her friend. Haider calls her to his room and cuts her tongue!

Salim leaves the function in midway. Jodha asks the reason of his irritation. He says that he has never liked Man Bai. Jodha is shocked. She reminds Salim that he liked a ‘the girl with a peacock mangtika’. Salim avoids talking with her. The engagement is postponed as Akbar is to leave Agra for a few days, to settle political matters with Mirza Hakim.

Anarkali comes back with the money and sees that her father has died! She and her mother seek help from people for the cremation of Rashid, but the heartless mob says that ‘a traitor does not deserve the honour’. Anarkali says that she will take all the responsibilities of her father’s cremation.
