Jodha Akbar: Salim Decides To Stop Bela’s Marriage

Jodha Akbar January 1st episode: Jodha comes to Man Bai to know her opinion about Salim. Man Bai blushes and avoids the question. She comes out and watches Salim doing exercise. Princess Jagat joins her. They watch the manly beauty of the prince. Akbar’s youngest daughter Aram Banu tells him that all the princesses are eyeing at Salim and Man Bai is the sweetest among them.

Salim scolds Murad for sending the letter to Anarkali. He comes to Anarkali’s house to say sorry. He tells her that he has come to apologize on behalf of prince Salim. He adds that the prince did not write the letter and he is not a bad person. She refuses believing it. She says that princes and kings are always heartless. They only hurt people’s feeling.

She narrates Bela’s case as an example. Princess Bela, who is Farhan’s love, is getting married to someone else as decided by her father. For kings marriages are to be fixed for political benefit, not for the relationship of human beings. Salim promises that he will fight for Farhan. Anarkali promises any kind of help, if needed. She is impressed by the humanity of the young gentleman.

Akbar tells Jodha that he is going to attend the marriage of a tribal princess. It is none other than Bela. He keeps good relationship with the tribal kings as they protect the tribal areas from outside attacks, explains Akbar. Jodha tells him to take Salim with him. It will increase their closeness, says she. Akbar agrees.
