Jodha Akbar: Salim Saved By Rukaiya, Becomes More Stubborn

Jodha Akbar January 9th episode: The arrow hits Rukaiya before it can hit Salim, as she guards him. Rukaiya sees Akbar’s signal to the guards, for a mild attack just to warn Salim; so she does not miss the chance of posing as a great mother! She gets a minor injury and tells Salim that she can sacrifice her life to protect him. Salim feels grateful to her and slams Jodha for her support to Akbar.

Akbar meets Rukaiya and tells her not to interfere in the matter again. Jodha is stunned seeing the strictness in Akbar. She cannot understand the reason of his desperate attitude. She comes to him and tells him to kill her before hitting Salim again.

Akbar thinks he should tell her the truth now. He explains how Salim went to the venue of Bela’s marriage to kidnap her and killed the bridegroom. He mentions that King Khambar left no scope of avoiding the marriage. Even Bela herself gave her nod!

Jodha apologizes to Akbar as she kept hurting him in this matter, while he is making a sacrifice for Salim. She promises to support him. He tells her not to mention anything to Salim.

Salim fumes over the matter. His friends and brothers advise him to keep quiet and behave sensibly. Only Haider takes the chance of fuelling Salim’s grudge against Akbar.

Salim comes to Anarkali and says that this is perhaps the last meeting with her, as he is going to kidnap Bela again from her wedding. Anarkali becomes frightened and forbids him to do so. Her eyes show the fear of losing him!
