Comedy Nights With Kapil, the popular comedy show hosted and produced by Kapil Sharma took a one-year leap over the weekend. The special episode was graced by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Shruthi Hassan, who were on the sets promoting their film Gabbar Is Back.
Post leap there are a lot of changes incorporated into the comedy show. Apart from the obvious changes on the set, including addition of bright colours on stage and addition of Gutthi's beauty parlour and Palak's tailor shop, the show has also made changes in the existing characters as well.
Bittu's (Kapil Sharma) wife Manju (Sumona Chakravarti), will start working and he will be the house-husband taking care of their first born. Dadi (Ali Asgar) will have acute memory loss and Pinky Bua (Upasana Singh) will no longer be staying in his house after winning a lottery!
Vishal Singh, Jigar of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, entered the show as Ali Asgar's new alternate character, Chinky, who is Bua's sister.
"Apart from Dadi, Ali will now play Bua's sister, Chinky. He will be shown as an NRI, who comes down to India with her boyfriend, who will be played by Vishal. He will be seen in casual clothes as he prefers this in real life, too.", a leading website had reported recently.
Comedy Nights With Kapil One-Year Leap
Comedy Nights With Kapil took a one-year leap over the weekend after which the show has incorporated a number of changes to the set and the characters on the show.
Akshay And Shruthi
Akshay Kumar and Shruthi Hassan were the first guests on the show. The Bollywood actors were on the shoe promoting their upcoming film Gabbar Is Back.
Kapil Sharma's Baby
Bitthu Sharma, Kapil Sharma's character, will be seen donning a father's role post the leap. Hewill be taking care of the baby with his wife working.
Gutthi And Palak
Among the changes incorporated in the show, Gutthi and Palak are a few most entertaining. Gutthi will own a beauty parlour while Palak owns a tailor shop next to it.
Palak And Askhay
The first episode had Akshay Kumar interacting with Palak on the show. Akshay will be trying for Palak's hand. The stint was most entertaining in the episode.
Akshay's Look-Alike
The episode also had Akshay Kumar's look-alike, who was competing against him to win over Palak's hand.
Gutthi And Palak's Welcome
Though Palak and Gutthi's character had some changes, the duo's method of welcoming guests remained the same. Retaining the song was most a good move by the makers.
Kapil And Shruthi
As usual, Kapil Sharma's flirting with beautiful actresses continues. Though Kapil's character has a baby now, that did not stop him from making his advances.
Shruthi's Singing
Shruthi Hassan, the talented actress is also good at singing. The beautiful actress was seen showing off her singing talent to the audience.
