Rajat Tokas, Paridhi Sharma's Jodha Akbar To Go Off Air?

By Girija Narayan

Jodha Akbar, the Zee TV's Historical show starring Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma is said to go off-air very soon. The show has been receiving very bad ratings and the makers of the show might pull the plug on the high budget show due to this.

The initially Ekta Kapoor show had been getting high TRP ratings for a long time but off late with the story oging no where and a number of trials failing to work on the viewers the makers of the show have decided to call it in.

"The serial has seen its share of controversies as well. Now, the Salim's character is yet to find a tune with the masses and also Paridhi aka Jodha's contract is expiring soon. On top of that, the numbers have also dipped quite a bit over time. So all these points have led to the idea of pulling the plug off the project," Tellychakkar quoted a source close to the show.

Jodha Akbar had good ratings when the love story between the lead characters Jodha and Akbar was the leading track. But over time with them falling in love and having children, the show lost it's selling point.

The makers of the show have tried many different tracks to bring the ratings up including the track of Salim and Anarkali. But nothing seems to work in their favour. The current black-magic-track seems to fall flat on them as well.

Though there are no official confirmation on the rumour, things don't seem bright for the show to remain on air, considering the high budget the show requires to stay afloat.
