Sai Balal Of Udaan Is Arrested For Sexual Harassment

Television actor Sai Balal was arrested by the Borivali police on Wednesday after an actress accused him of sending her sexually explicit videos to her cell phone.

Currently seen playing a villain in Colors show Udaan, Sai Balal, reportedly started harassing the actress from April. The actress was a part of the same show back then. Both the actors are in their fifties.

"Tha harassment started in April this year. Balal used to send sleazy text messages to the actress. Gradually, he started sending her videos with adult content. He would message her to ask if she liked the videos and that she should visit him when he was home alone" TOI quoted a police official.

A case has been registered against Balal under Section 354-A (sexual harassment) and 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe her) of the IPC and section 67-A of the IT Act.

The actress, following the harassment, alerted the production house. But no action was taken against Sai Balal and in return he along with two members from the production team threatened the actress. The actress' screen time in the show was reduced as well.
