IN PICS: Sonakshi Sinha, Vishal Dadlani, Shalmali Kholgade Launch Indian Idol Junior

The new season of singing reality show Indian Idol Junior was launched on Sony TV on Thursday (21st May). Sonakshi Sinha along with composer Vishal Dadlani and singer Shalmali Kholgade launched Indian Idol Junior.

Sonakshi made a grand entry in the launch of Indian Idol Junior with a song of ‘Rowdy Rathore' sang by the participants in the background. Vishal enthralled the audiences with his songs, also Shalmali sang her songs.

Indian Idol marks the debut of Sonakshi Sinha on the small screen. Sonakshi is not a singer, and so we will have to wait and watch to see on what aspects she will be seen judging the participants.

Sharing the excitement of Indian Idol Jr launch, Sonakshi tweeted, "Aaaaand #IndianIdolJunior is on its way!! Amazing event with the entire team and super talented kids @SonyTV."

The actress had previously shared her happiness of judging the show. She tweeted with the YouTube link of the promo of Indian Idol Junior, "Enough guessing!! HAPPY to announce #ShotgunJunior is going to be a part of Indian Idol Junior 😃."

Sonakshi was quoted by TOI as saying, "I am excited about judging the music reality show featuring children. I am a kid at heart, and love watching shows that display such wonderful talent, so it's the perfect fit for me. I can't wait to meet all the talented kids."

Indian Idol Jr will be telecasted from May 30th on weekends at 9 pm. Asha Negi and Hussain Kuwajerwala will be hosting the show.
