the
hit
serial

Saas
Bhi
Kabhi
Bahu
Thi
(KSBKBT)
passed
away
in
Mumbai
today
(20th
May).
The
77-year-old
actress
had
been
unwell
for
quite
sometime.
It
is
reported
that
in
2013,
the
veteran
actress
was
admitted
to
hospital
as
she
suffered
stroke.
She
was
kept
in
the
ICU,
but
later
she
regained
her
health
and
got
well.
The
hospital
source
was
quoted
as
saying,
"We
are
yet
to
determine
the
exact
cause
of
death." Few
reports
say
that
age-related
illness
was
the
reason
for
her
death.
Funeral
will
be
held
today
at
2.30
pm
at
Oshiwara
Crematorium.

tweeted,

grief
on
the
death
of
the
actress.
The
senior
actress
Sudha
started
her
career
at
the
age
of
eight
to
support
her
ailing
mother.
During
her
struggling
days,
she
got
married
to
popular
actor
Hari
Shivpuri.
The
couple
started
a
theatre
company.
Sudha
started
her
career
in
Bollywood
in
1977
with
Basu
Chatterjee's
Swami.
Later
she
went
on
act
in
movies
-
Insaaf
Ka
Tarazu,
Sawan
Ko
Aane
Do,
Hamari
Bahu
Alka,
Burning
Train,
Vidhaata,
Sun
Meri
Laila
and
Maya
Memsaab.
The
actress
then
took
a
break
and
shifted
to
Television.
She
was
seen
in
serials
like
Aa
Bail
Mujhe
Maar,
Rajni,
Rishtey,
and
many
more.
Her
big
break
came
in
the
year
2000
with
the
serial
Kyunki
Saas
Bhi
Kabhi
Bahu
Thi
in
which
she
played
the
role
of
Baa.
Since
then
she
became
household
name.
The
actress
is
survived
by
a
daughter,
who
is
also
a
Hindi
film
actress
and
a
son.
