of
the
most
favourite
and
loved
veteran
actresses
Sudha
Shivpuri
yesterday
(20th
May).
The
77-year-old
actress
had
been
unwell
for
quite
some
time.
A
source
from
CritiCare
Multispeciality
Hospital
and
Research
Centre
in
Andheri
East
was
quoted
by
IANS
as
saying,
"She
was
at
our
hospital
for
a
couple
of
days.
She
died
early
morning
today."
In
2013,
the
actress
was
admitted
to
hospital
as
she
suffered
stroke.
She
was
kept
in
the
ICU,
but
later
she
regained
her
health
and
got
well.
On
Wednesday
afternoon
(20th
May),
the
veteran
actress'
body
was
cremated
at
the
Oshiwara
Crematorium.
The
senior
actress
Sudha
started
her
career
at
the
age
of
eight
to
support
her
ailing
mother.
During
her
struggling
days,
she
got
married
to
popular
actor
Hari
Shivpuri.
The
couple
started
a
theatre
company.
Popularly
known
as
Baa
in
the
hit
serial
Kyunki
Saas
Bhi
Kabhi
Bahu
Thi
(KSBKBT),
the
senior
actress
had
done
many
movies
like
Swami,
Insaaf
Ka
Tarazu,
Sawan
Ko
Aane
Do,
Hamari
Bahu
Alka,
Burning
Train,
Vidhaata,
Sun
Meri
Laila
and
Maya
Memsaab.
Yesterday
was
the
end
of
her
journey
and
to
pay
their
final
respects,
several
television
celebrities
gathered
at
Sudha
Shivpuri's
residence.
From
the
actors
who
worked
with
her
in
Kyunki
Saas
Bhi
Kabhi
Bahu
Thi
like
Hiten
Tejwani,
Sumeet
Sachdev,
Shilpa
Saklani
to
many
others
actor
like
Shahbaz
Khan,
Abhinav
Shukla
and
others
attended
the
funeral.
The
actress
is
survived
by
a
daughter
Ritu
Shivpuri,
who
is
also
a
Hindi
film
actress
and
a
son.
May
her
soul
rest
in
peace.
