Was Diya Aur Baati Hum Actors’ Anas Rashid-Deepika Singh Slapgate Issue Blown Out Of Proportion?

Diya Aur Baati (DABH) actor Deepika Singh had slapped Anas Rashid as he misbehaved with her. This slapgate issue was blown out of proportion even though media was not allowed to interfere. Audiences had even thought that they will have to miss their favourite Jodi, if things went further wrong.

Anas plays the role of Sooraj, a loving husband to Sandhya aka Deepika in the show Diya Aur Baati Hum. The makers were taking a huge step by taking a leap. Post leap, Sandhya is going to have a baby and the story will be completely about them and such misunderstandings between the main lead would have caused major problem.

Recently it was reported that the matter was resolved by The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA). It was said that CINTAA intervened in this matter and made peace between the two. It is said that both actors had a long talk with the actors and resolved the issue. It is also said that post discussion the actors shook their hands and made peace.

Anas mentioned the whole incident as unexpected. He said that his co-star realised and blamed him that he misbehaved with her while doing a scene. Anas added that he was unaware of anything when she ended up slapping me on the fourth day. It happened all of a sudden and they resumed shooting.

Anas had even said that there were no personal differences between them. Deepika is just a co-actor and they continue to work professionally. He added that this incident was blown out of proportion.

Anas Has No Issues Working With Deepika

Anas said that from past three and half years, he had never had any issues working with Deepika. As an actor he takes care of his limits.

Anas Says 'No Publicity Stunt'

Anas clarifies that it was not for publicity. He was quoted as saying by a leading daily, "I don't think so because our publicity depends only on the success of our show. I don't think that anyone of us wants this kind of publicity."
