While there is a lot of buzz about Kapil Sharma being replaced on Comedy Nights With Kapil by many others, including Karan Johar, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Meshmukh or Sajid Khan, it is obviously a sign of sheer stupidity to even attempt it since without him the show will never remain the same. Comedy Nights.. without Kapil is foolishness unimaginable.

Sharing the same opinion was the popular Bollywood director, Karan Johar, who rubbished the rumours saying, "No. I don't know where this rumour started from. It's absolutely untrue. I can't replace Kapil Sharma. I am not that stupid."

"Hello friends. Hope All well .. But m not well.. advised for bed rest... Shooting last episode with @BeingSalmanKhan coming back soon :)," Kapil tweeted on 1 July informing his fans about the uncertainty of his popular comedy show.

"Kapil has suffered a slip disc injury so he is not in a position to host the show for now. The channel had two options to choose. Either they could drop the show or continue with a new host. They opted for the latter," DNA reported recently.

"The channel has plans to rope in three more Bollywood celebrities. Karan Johar has been finalised already. They are in talks with three others to come on board," the report also said.
