The
comedian-actor
Kiku
Sharda,
famous
for
his
role
of
Palak
from
Comedy
Nights
With
Kapil,
recently
landed
himself
in
trouble.
He
was
booked
for
hurting
religious
sentiments.
Apparently,
the
actor
made
fun
of
Gurmeet
Ram
Rahim
Singh
in
an
episode.
And
a
case
was
filed
against
him
by
the
followers
of
Dera
Sacha
Sauda.
Now,
there
are
reports
that
the
actor
has
been
arrested!
According
to
sources,
Kiku
was
shooting
till
late
night
(2
am),
when
police
arrested
him.
The
police
took
him
to
the
Aarey
Police
Station,
Goregaon.
It
is
also
reported
that
Kiku
will
be
taken
to
Haryana
from
Delhi,
for
further
interrogation
on
this
case.
It
has
to
be
recalled
that
the
episode
of
Comedy
Nights
with
Kapil,
where
Kiku
mimicked
their
sect
head,
Gurmeet
Ram
Rahim
Singh,
was
aired
on
December
27,
2015.
Kiku
was
booked
under
section
295
A
of
the
Indian
Penal
Code
(outraging
religious
feelings
of
any
class
by
insulting
its
religion
or

After
this
issue
came
to
light,
the
actor
apologised
as
well.
He
had
tweeted,
"Dosto
the
act
on
TV
was
not
to
hurt
anyone's
feelings.
My
apologies
to
@Gurmeetramrahim
ji
and
his
followers.
Let's
spread
happiness."
The
actor
was
also
quoted
as
saying,
"I
have
a
lot
of
respect
for
Gurmeet
Ram
Rahim
Singhji.
The
look
[on
the
show]
wasn't
deliberate;
it
just
happened
to
match
[Gurmeet
Ram
Rahim
Singh's
look].
We
didn't
plan
it
as
a
spoof
on
him.
It's
a
coincidence,
and
it
is
unfortunate.
I
am
sorry
that
people
felt
hurt.
We
never
try
to
do
any
such
thing
intentionally,
or
try
to
get
headlines
out
of
it,
or
want
people
to
talk
about
our
show
in
this
manner.
There
is
nothing
more
to
it."
Well,
looks
like
his
apologies
went
unnoticed.
