“I Don't Have The Time To Search For A Girl” Says Anas Rashid, Of Diya Aur Baati Hum!

Anas Rashid aka Sooraj Rathi of Diya Aur Baati Hum, was in the news recently for throwing tantums on the sets of his popular show. But, there is a news to cherish as well, as the show recently completed 5 years by setting a record of a massive 1400 episodes!

In fact, this show is one of the longest running shows of the channel. Even the actor admits that, it is the most successful show of his career. He candidly admits that his character (Sooraj) has impacted a lot on his life making him more patient and dedicated. Well, it's good to hear that!

There were reports about the show ending on Aug 15, due to the declining TRPs. When quizzed regarding this, the talented actor says, "Everything has to end and it's painful to think about the end of your show, but I have not been told anything about it. Even if our show ends this year, I hope that it goes out with a bang."

Anas, was in a relationship with Rati Pandey, who is also a successful TV actress, but the two called off their relationship, recently. Anas opened up about Rati and his failed relationship to a leading entertainment portal.

He said, "Rati is a good girl, but for the last couple of months, I haven't been in touch with her. Whatever happened, has happened for her betterment and my family's betterment."

When asked about his marriage plans, he confessed, " I don't have the time to search for a girl. But I would prefer a love match." He also adds that his mother is searching a suitable match for him, and he is ready to take the plunge!

He said. "I want to get married, and my ammi (mom) wants me to get married soon. I am 38, and like they say, "Dulha hansta hua achcha lagta hai, khansta hua nahin" (a groom should be smiling not coughing). Marriage is a contract, as kundalis are matched, the boy's finances are looked at, and other things are taken into considerations."

Well, we can only hope that Anas finds his perfect match soon!
