Diya Aur Baati Hum Completes 5 Glorious Years; It's Celebration Time On The Sets Of The Show! [PICS]

Star Plus' trendsetter show, Diya Aur Baati Hum produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, completed 5 glorious years yesterday (29 August) and the entire team couldn't be more happier!

It is a moment meant to be rejoiced. The cult show, which began on 29 August, 2011, enjoyed a tremendous fan following and after a successful 5-year run, the show will air its finale episode on 11 September, 2016.

Diya Aur Baati Completes 5 Years!

Diya Aur Baati Hum completes 5 glorious years. The leading lady and the entire cast was in a celebratory mood as they had a mini party on the sets. Deepika shared a post on Instagram on this occasion.

She wrote, "5 years down and still rocking!! Today #DABH completes 5years and Iv Cherished each and every moment.. It's been a beautiful journey indeed since I had fans like you all to give me so much love and appreciation!! Love you all."

It's Celebration Time!

The entire cast even cut a delicious chocolate cake on the sets, which read, "Congratulations for completing 5 years", which was sent by the team of Star Plus.

Pooja Singh Aka Emily Shares Her Thoughts

Pooja Singh, who plays Emily on the show shared her thoughts about the show's feat on Instagram. She wrote, "So happy for the 5 year anniversary of DABH. Seems like yesterday when I gave my first shot."

She added, "Time just flew by, thanks to my amazing colleagues who took such good care of me and allowed me to become a part of this amazing family. I always thought that I am a small part of this show but I just realized that this show has become a big part of me."

Celebration Continues...

This image was posted by Pooja Singh on Instagram. It looks like the cast went out for a dinner after pack-up. The entire gang is in a celebratory mood and it looks like they had a great time.

The show focuses on Sandhya and her stuggle to become an IPS officer. During her struggle, she will find constant support from her husband, Sooraj, who becomes her pillar of strength.

After fighting all the odds, Sandhya finally achieves her dream and from there, the show threw light upon her duties and how she strives to maintain a balance between her personal and professional lives.

The show's leading lady, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya shared an emotional post on Instagram regarding her journey in the show.

The team also celebrated the occasion joyously, by cutting a delicious chocolate cake on the sets of the show, which read, "Congratulations for completing 5 years." Apparently, the cake was from the team of Star Plus.

However, the show's male lead, Anas Rashid, was missing from the occasion!

The show is slowly inching towards its climax, and we are curious to know, how it would end. As per the reports, the show will end on a sad note and the climax promo also gives us a hint of the same.
