We
had
earlier
stated
that
popular
actress,
Drashti
Dhami
might
make
a
comeback
soon
with
Ekta
Kapoor's
show
on
Star
Plus.
The
gorgeous
actress's
last
small
screen
outing
was
Zee
TV's
Ek
Tha
Raja
Ek
Thi
Rani.
Here's
a
piece
of
good
news
which
will
make
all
the
fans
of
Drashti
Dhami
happy.
The
first
look
of
Drashti's
new
show
is
out.
Reportedly,
the
show
is
titled
as
'Pardes
Mein
Hai
Mera
Dil'.
The
show
is
based
on
Manju
Kapoor's
novel
'The
Immigrant'
and
is
also
loosely
inspired
by
the
hit
Bollywood
movie,
Pardes.
While
Drashti
will
play
the
female
lead
in
the
show
and
Shaleen
Malhotra
of
'Arjun'
fame
has
been
roped
in
to
play
the
male
lead.
Apparently,
Drashti
will
play
the
role
of
'Naina'
in
the
show.
As
per
the
sources,
Naina
will
dislike
the
idea
of
getting
married
because
of
her
ailing
mother.
But,
the
fate
will
have
something
else
for
her.
Shaleen
will
reprise
the
role
of
Shahrukh
Khan
in
'Pardes'
and
will
play
the
role
of
Anand,
who
would
go
on
to
become
successful,
despite
coming
from
a
humble
background.
Actor,
Laksh
Lalwani
has
been
roped
in
to
play
a
parallel
lead
in
the
show.
According
to
a
leading
entertainment
portal,
"Laksh
will
play
a
rich
spoilt
brat
called
Veer.
His
character
will
be
on
the
lines
of
Apurva
Agnihotri's
role
in
'Pardes'."
If
reports
are
to
be
believed,
a
few
portions
of
the
show
will
be
shot
in
Austria,
in
September.
Official
announcement
regarding
the
show
is
awaited
from
the
makers.
We
can
only
hope
that,
they
make
it
soon.
In
the
meanwhile,
take
a
look
at
the
first
look
of
the
new
show.
