The much awaited award ceremony - 9th Boroplus Gold Awards 2016 was held yesterday (9th June). Zee Gold Awards is an annual awards show that honours the best performers in the Indian television industry. The actors were awarded based on the number of votes from the audiences.

The award ceremony was hosted by Jay Bhanushali and Gauhar Khan. The who's who of Television industry attended the event. The performance of the actors added more colours to the star-studded event. At the awards event, all the three lead actors of Naagin bagged awards - Best Popular Actress Awards was taken away by Mouni Roy, Best Actor was given to Arjun Bijlani and Best Actress in Negative Role Award was bagged by Adaa Khan. The show also won Best Thriller Award.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai won Popular Show Award. While Rohan Mehra won Best Debut Male Award, Hina Khan & Karan Mehra won the Best Jodi Award.

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's Divyanka Tripathi, Karan Patel and Arjit Taneja won awards.
