Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9: The Much Awaited Season Finally Kicks Off! [PICS]

Good news to all the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa fans out there! Season 9 of the famous dance reality show is here and you cannot be more happier!

With the minor changes in its format every season, this season marks the debut of Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez as a judge in this star-studded reality show alongside Karan Johar and Ganesh Hegde.

The list of the 12 celebrity contestants were out recently. In case, if you have missed the list, here it is: Gaurav Gera, Karishma Tanna, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Surveen Chawla, Shakti Arora, Harpal Singh Sokhi, Poonam and Priyanka Shah, Shantanu Maheshwari, Salman Yusuf and Sidhant Gupta.

Manish Paul is back as a host for this season too. There are reports that, in this season, there will be a change in the show's format, with the contestants performing duet and trio performances, apart from just the solo performances.

The shoot of this season kicked off with a bang! The judges literally made a 'dhamakedar' entry on the first day of the shoot. Jacqueline, had earlier stated that she cannot wait for the season to begin!

The contestants Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Karishma Tanna and others were equally excited for this season as well and they took to social media to share their excitement!

The show is slated to premiere on July 30, Saturday. There are reports that the show will be aired once a week, till October, i.e., every Saturdays at 10 pm.

Apparently, the show's very first guest wil be none other than Hrithik Roshan. There are also reports that, Akshay Kumar will also make an appearance on the first episode!
