Naamkaran: Will Dayavanti Get To Know About Asha and Ashish's Marriage?

Star Plus' latest offering, Naamkaran, helmed by Mahesh Bhatt, has been keeping the audiences entertained with its twists. In the opening episodes, the show focused on Avni, who lives with her single mother Asha (Barkha Bisht).

The young Avni, can't understand why her family is not a 'normal' one as the rest of them and often gets teased because of her father, Ashish's absence. Unbeknownst to her and the entire world, Asha and Ashish's wedding is not legally recognized.

Ashish has been hiding the truth about his marriage to Asha since 12 years, from his mother Dayavanti, because of the religious barriers, as Asha is a muslim. On the other hand, Dayavanti has found a perfect match for her son in a girl called Neela.

In the last episode, we saw how Ashish gathers courage to tell his mother about his past. Ashish begins writing a mail to his mother to inform his mother about his marriage and recollects his past.

The flashback begins and it is shown that Ashish, who is a film director, is struggling to deal with his recent flops. One day, he arrives on the film set and spots the a painting of a girl's eyes.

He is captivated by it and takes the painting to his home. Keeping it as his inspiration, Ashish is able to successfully finish writing a story. Once he finishes writing, he wishes to meet the girl.

He gets to know that she is Aisha Haider, daughter of a stunt master. He gets the address and lands at her place at night when there is a power cut. Aisha arrives with a candle. He is mesmerised on seeing her!
