Ishqbaaz Makes An Impressive Beginning; Attracts Highest Viewership In The Time Slot!

Star Plus's latest offering Ishqbaaz, produced by 4 Lions Films, began with a bang on June 27. The story revolves around the three Oberoi brothers- Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta), Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh) and Rudra (Leenesh Mattoo), who are the heirs of the Oberoi family.

On its very first day, the show managed to attract 8.7 Million television viewers according to data published by International Business Times, India. The first episode faced tough competition from other shows aired on other channels at the 10 pm slot, nevertheless, managed to grab eyeballs.

With this show replacing 'Tamanna' at the 10 pm slot, the channel witnessed a stupendous 37% increase in its viewership compared to the average viewership of Tamanna.

The Oberoi brothers are inseparable even with their contrasting personalities and attitude towards life! They have a troubled relationship with their parents, but are close to their grandmother and sister, Priyanka.

Here enters Anika (Surbhi Chandna), Priyanka's friend, who is totally opposite to the arrogant business tycoon, Shivaay, and they are always at loggerheads. In spite of this, there is a subtle hint that their love story will begin soon!

Tia, Shivaay's girlfriend has entered the scene. It is evident that Shivaay doesn't love Tia, he is interested in marrying her, only because of her royal family background and business.

His brothers dislike her and try to make him understand that she is not his perfect match, but Shivaay fails to understand this. In fact, his engagement preparations with Tia are going on in full swing!
