We have been missing Nikita Dutta, who played the role of Suman on the show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, on-screen for some time now as the show went off air. She was earlier a part of the television show Dream Girl, it was the role of Suman that impressed the audiences.

Nikita Wanted A Break!
Nikita was quoted by the entertainment website as saying, "There were a lot of things coming my way post Ek Duje Ke Vaaste but I didn't take them up because I wanted a break to take rest because my health was not that great."
Nikita To Surprise Her Fans!
"I will definitely take something up in the beginning of the New Year. My sabbatical is a beautiful phase though I don't want it to last for long. I think a break of 2-3 months is more than enough for me that after a hectic schedule."
Nikita Enjoyed Her Break
"I have enjoyed my break to the fullest by spending ample amount of time with my family and my closest of friends. I have got to do things that I wanted to do in my free time. I am happy with this little break that I have got."

Nikita Was Offered Other Roles!
When asked whether she is interested to play any character on the current television shows, Nikita said, "Honestly, none! There are so many characters that are currently on-air that I was offered to play but I thank God that I am not playing those..."
When asked if EKDV was the turning point for her career, Nikita was quoted by the entertainment website as saying, "I won't call it a turning point but it has amplified my career in a big way. My first show has also done quite well and given me popularity and of course Ek Duje Ke Vaaste has been bigger!"
It has to be recalled that after EDKV went off air, Nikita was surrounded by controversies, saying she was the reason for the show's shut down. Nikita was unwell and she was hospitalised. It was said that the production house was finding it difficult to shoot during her absence, and they didn't want to replace her.
There were also rumours that Nikita was offered films down the South. Time and again, Nikita had come out in open to clarify that she wasn't the reason for the show's shut down and she has no other offers, but wanted to rest as her health is upset.
We have seen Nikita's co-actor Namik Paul doing a web series, 'The Trip'. We hope to see Nikita too on television screens!
