Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil First Episode: Naina Leaves For 'Pardes' On An Optimistic Note!

Star Plus' most awaited soap opera, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil starring Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani in the lead roles, premiered yesterday at 8 pm. The promo featuring the lead actors was released a couple of days ago and received a thumbs-up. It was indeed magical and was shot in the beautiful locales of Austria.

The first episode showcased Drashti's entry. As we had reported earlier, Drashti will play the role of Naina, an independent and confident present-day girl, who balances work with her duties back home, and is her mother's support system and shares a special bond with her. Naina

The first episode begins at the airport, Naina leaves her mother in India and is all set to go to Innsbruck, where her brother resides. A lady blames her for leaving her ailing mother alone. Naina begins telling her story to the lady.

Naina's Story

The screens shift to the past wherein a 27-year-old Naina Batra, is revealed to be a College Lecturer. She is often mocked by students, for having remained single so far.

Naina's Past

It is revealed that Naina loved Amit, but they have parted ways. She bumps into him at the supermarket. She spots a lady along with him and assumes that, it is his wife and runs away.

Amit

Amit arrives home and proposes to her. The day of their engagement arrives and Naina is extremely happy. Naina's mother overhears Amit's conversation with his mother.

Engagement Called-Off

It is revealed that Amit has got a lucrative job offer abroad. His mother feels that, Naina will not relocate with him, leaving behind her ailing mother. After listening to this, Naina's mother suffers a heart attack.

Naina Is Optimistic

The screen comes back to present wherein Naina reveals that she is all set to meet Amit, even after their relationship has been called off. In spite of the heartbreak, she is still optimistic about love and feels that, fate has something good in store for her.

Arjun's Entry

Arjun's entry as Raghav will happen in today's episode. Raghav is a kind-hearted guy whose humour lightens up any situation. How will destiny bring Raghav and Naina together, on a foreign land?

The First Episode...

The episode begins with Naina's voice-over at the airport. Naina is all set to leave for Innsbruck (Austria), where her brother resides. As the episode progresses, it is shown that, Naina shares a special bond with her mother.

As a responsible daughter, she asks her mother to take care of herself and bids her a tearful goodbye. A lady who witnesses their conversation later blames Naina for leaving her ailing mother back in India and going alone.

Naina reveals that, her story is not what it appears to be and begins her narration. The screens shift to a flashback wherein Naina Batra, a 27-year-old girl is revealed to be a College Lecturer, who teaches Literature.

As the story progresses, it is revealed that Naina had called off her engagement with Amit. Coming to the present, Naina is all set to meet Amit again, in Innsbruck.
