Pratyusha Banerjee’s Death: A Suicide Or Murder; Foul Play Suspected!

Actress Pratyusha Banerjee, famous for her role of Anandi in Balika Vadu, committed suicide yesterday (April 1). According to reports, the actress hung herself from the ceiling of her suburban residence.

A few of industry people think she was suffering from depression, and her stressed relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, might have made her take such drastic step. The actress' friends, family members and neighbours expressed their shock over the actress' death. Many of them said she was not a person who would commit suicide!

A neighbour was quoted by a leading daily as saying, "We are all very shocked about this. Few days back only I met her and Rahul. They seemed absolutely fine, never thought anything of this kind. She seemed fine when I saw her."

Actress Dolly Bindra was quoted by ANI as saying, "I used to meet her very often. I had met her even prior to the Big Boss show. She was strong and cannot commit suicide."

Another actor-friend of Pratyusha, Ajaz Khan, who was seen with Pratyusha in Bigg Boss said, "I don't think it's a suicide. I think it's a planned murder."

Ajaz was quoted by IndianExpress as saying, "I met her a day before Holi and she looked really scared. She was a changed person. Even while talking to me, she kept looking at Rahul Raj Singh. That man changed her. I knew her well. I have stayed with her for 24/7 in Bigg Boss house and she was not the same old Pratyusha who I knew. And where is Rahul? The entire world is here except him."

We had also reported the speculations that were made when the body was brought to the hospital. All these reports are quite disturbing. We just hope the truth comes out and if it is a murder, the guilty be punished.
