SHOCKING! Additi Gupta Quits Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil!
Actress Additi Gupta aka Sanjana has quit the show, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, as she was unhappy with the way her role was shaping up in the show.
In Star Plus' latest offering, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, a high-voltage drama is going on of late. Misunderstandings have cropped up between Naina and Raghav. Naina is working under Raghav and he is not leaving a single chance to insult her.
The show, which began on a grand note, has not lived upto its expectations. Things doesn't seem to get better for the show, as Additi Gupta, who plays the role of Sanjana has quit the show! Shocking, isn't it?
It has to be recalled that the actress was keen on playing a negative role in the show. But, what made her quit the show? Read on to know....
Additi Gupta Quits PMHMD
In an interview to a leading entertainment portal, the actress spoke about leaving the show. She told, "I was too excited about playing a next-door-girl as it allowed me to break away from my image in 'Qubool Hai'. However, I wasn't happy with the way my role was shaping up."
Additi Says, Her Character Didn't Get Justice
"What was promised wasn't executed and hence, the decision. My character didn't get justice. The time leap reaffirmed my decision, as we weren't even aware of it. I feel that the story was taken ahead by several years too soon. I had no issues with the new antagonist (Adaa Khan) being roped in, as my character remained in focus."
Additi Shot Her Last Episode On Feb 14
Furthermore, "The new track was something I wasn't in tandem with. Instead of being a piece of furniture on the show, I thought it was better to quit. I shot my last episode on February 14."
Additi & Rizwan's Break up
Of late, the actress is in news for her alleged break up with boyfriend Rizwan Bachav. Rizwan and Additi were in a relationship for more than 2 years. The actress has constantly been linked to her PMHMD co-star, Laksh Lalwani, who plays the role of Veer.
Here's What The Actress Has To Say...
"The reason I broke up with Rizwan is personal and I don't want to talk about it. I don't want people to make assumptions and judge either of us. I never confirmed I was dating him, then why should I talk about my break-up?"
'Am I Not Allowed To Be Single?', Asks Additi
"I hang out with Arjun (Arjun Bijlani, her PMHMD co-star), too. Nobody linked me with him. Is it because he is married and Laksh isn't? I may be single, but that doesn't mean I am available. Am I not allowed to be single?", concludes the actress.
For the uninitiated, sources had stated that post her break up with Rizwan, the actress found solace in her co-star, Laksh. As per the reports, "Additi and Laksh have a strong bond, which is very much visible. They are always spotted together on the set, and prefer to spend quality time with each other."
But, Laksh denied all the rumours. He told, "Nothing is going on. She is just a co-actor I am working with. There is nothing beyond this. I find it really funny when I get linked with girls. Earlier it was Rashmi leaving home for me. And now, it is Additi leaving Rizwan for me. I do not connect with it. Presently, I am focussing on my work and that's about it."
