Diya Aur Baati Hum 2: The Cast Gets Bigger & Better; Show To Air In The Afternoon Slot?
If reports are to be believed, the channel is working on the strategies regarding the afternoon programming and there are chances that Diya Aur Baati Hum 2 will be aired in the afternoon slot.
The cast of Diya Aur Baati Hum 2 is definitely getting bigger and better! A few days ago, the team kick-started the shooting in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The makers have retained Kanika Maheshwari, Neelu Vaghela and Ashok Lokhande from the first season.
A few days ago, we had reported that Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actress Madhura Naik, has been signed on to play the role of Pallomi and Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress Mazel Vyas has been roped in to play the role of Suman.

Rajeev Singh To Play Vikram
In the season 1, Karan Kodwani played the role of Vikram. In the season 2, the makers have roped in actor Rajeev Singh to play the role of Vikram. As per the reports, Vikram will be seen taking the responsibilities of the house single-handedly being the eldest son, post Suraj's death.
Vikas Grover
Actor Vikas Grover will be seen in an important cameo role. Apparently, he will play the role of the protagonist's (Kanak) best friend.
Channel To Re-launch Afternoon Programming
If reports are to be believed, the channel is planning to re-launch afternoon programming from March 2017. As per a credible source, "Every time slot has a niche audience, and the next move of Star Plus will be to cash in on the afternoon band by coming up with new programs."
DABH 2 To Air In The Afternoon Slot?
Furthermore, "The channel is presently working out strategies regarding the afternoon band. The first two shows to find a place in afternoon programming will be Diya Aur Baati Hum 2, produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions and SOL and Shoonya Square's Ek Aastha Aisa Bhi."
Afternoon Shows Were A Hit
"Work is in progress regarding the other shows that will launch in the afternoon band." It has to be recalled that the channel did well with afternoon shows such as Kumkum, Shagun and Hamari Devrani to name a few.
DABH 2 Promo To Be Out Soon
Reportedly, the promo of the all new season of the show will be very out soon.
After the super successful run of the first season, the makers have been working on the season 2 for Star Plus. The Season 2 will have Sooraj and Sandhya's daughter, Kanak as the main protagonist.
If reports are to be believed, Kanak will be a spoiled brat and her relationship with Bhabho would be under rocks. Rhea Sharma has been finalised for the role of Kanak and Avinash Rekhi has been finalised as the male lead.
Actors Mayank Arora and Kabeer Kumar have been roped in to play Sandhya and Sooraj's sons, Vansh and Ved. Earlier, it was being said that DABH 2 will get back its original timeslot of 9 pm, but it looks like the channel is keen on re-launching its afternoon slot with a few shows including DABH season 2.
