Earlier there were reports that Zee TV's popular show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will go off air soon. But, later the channel decided to extend the show by two more months. The new show Aisi Deewangi, which was to replace Ek Tha Raja..., will now take Sanyukt's time slot.

Nidhi Uttam To Enter The Show
Nidhi Uttam, who was seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has bagged an important role on Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. Apparently, the actress will play Raj's sister, Sakshi on the show.
Nidhi Confirms The Reports
Nidhi was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "Yes, I am entering the show as Sakshi. I have got a chance to try something really different on-screen and looking forward to the same."
Raj Turns Negative
Raj's character will turn negative and soon the mystery behind his villainous role will be revealed. According to latest reports, Raj would have entered Rani's life to take revenge on Rani's mother Suminda!
Suminda's Past
The story will on a flashback mode and the viewers will be shown as to how Suminda tortured Raj's parents. Suminda would have snatched Raj's property, leaving them bankrupt.
Nidhi As Sakshi
Because of this, Raj's sister, Sakshi's marriage will be called off. Unable to bear the shock, she becomes mentally unstable. Sakshi will be seen wearing the bridal attire and waiting for her groom to arrive.

Story So Far...
Rani (Eisha Singh) assures Raj (Sartaj Gill) as to how much she loves him. She adds that she only wants to marry him. Raj, who has the hidden intention of marrying Rani, will be happy that his plan has succeeded.
Suminda does not find Raj and Rani and gets worried. She is shocked that the duo, who used to fight, have left the home together. She will also be surprised to see them in the wedding attire.
Seeing Raj and Rani, Rajmaata recalls Rana ji-Gayatri and Raja-Rani's weddings. While Rajamaata wants them to live happily and prays for their happiness, Raj thinks to himself that he will make Rani and her mother suffer, like how he has been suffering for years.
Raj and Rani get married and take Suminda and Rajmaata's blessings. Rani decides to go with Raj to his house.
During their first night, Raj leaves Rani locked in the room. The next morning Rani is surprised as she doesn't see Raj, but doesn't ask him anything as she doesn't want to behave like typical housewives!
