JNDSD Actress Sara Khan Was Forced To Stay Back In Pakistan; Was Mahira Khan The Reason?

Sara Khan, who is shuttling between India and Pakistan for the shoot of Star Plus' popular show Jana Na Dil Se Door and Pakistan TV show Lekin, had to face the brunt of the tension between the two countries. The actress was apparently refused to issue her an NOC to fly back to India.

There were also speculations that the actress was arrested in Pakistan for extending her stay. Read on to know more....

Sara Khan Was Forced To Stay Back In Pakistan!

A source close to the actress was quoted by a leading daily as saying, "Sara was scheduled to return on March 28. However, there were no flights available to India for the next two days, which forced her to extend her stay."

Sara's Delayed Stay In Pakistan!

The source added, "When she approached the immigration counter at Karachi airport on March 30, the staff recognised her."

Was Mahira Khan The Reason For Sara's Delayed Stay In Pakistan?

"They then cited Mahira's example and said, 'Remember how Mahira was treated by your people? How can we let you go so easily, especially when the equation between the two countries is so critical?'"

The source further added, "After she pleaded with them, they relented, but delayed issuing the NOC by a week. It was quite scary."

JNDSD Team Was In Touch With Sara!

Apparently, Sara Khan spent a week in her hotel. After her paperwork was done, she returned to India. JNDSD team was in touch with the actress.

JNDSD Producer Yash Says...

The producer of the show Yash Patnaik was quoted by the leading daily as saying, "Sara was supposed to start shooting with us from March 30, but she was unable to fly back home."

Sara Was Reminded About Mahira's Case!

He added, "My team was constantly in touch with her. Seems, she was reminded about Mahira's case multiple times. Fortunately, she flew back on Wednesday night."

Sara denied the rumours of her arrest. She also clarified that she was not ill-treated. But, this incident, Sara has definitely learnt a lesson and feels India is the best!

She said, "There is speculation that I was arrested in Pakistan, but that's not true. There was no restriction on my movement and I was not ill-treated. In fact, they were quite courteous."

She added, "But yes, the delay did inconvenience me as I had to commence the shoot of my new soap in India. After this incident, I would like to assert that East or West, India's the best."

Recently, the actress also shared a video in which she was seen shooting for the Star Plus' show. She wrote, "Straight from Karachi to Jana na dil se door shoot ...#starplus #workinmumbaibegins #ssarakhan #newnew."

On Jana Na Dil Se Door, Sara will be seen playing a mysterious character - Mallika, a bride with a twist. The actress has already entered the show, but her face is yet to be revealed. She was saved by Ravish, who takes her to his house as she was hurt.

She begs Ravish to save her as she doesn't want to get married. She also reveals that people are behind her to kill her! While saying so, she hurts Ravish's hand with her sharp nails!
