Kasam actor Sharad Malhotra is celebrating his birthday today (January 9th). The actor who is receiving acclaim for his role as Rishi Singh Bedi on the show and his electrifying chemistry with co-star Kratika Sengar, received a lot of gifts from his fans on the eve of his birthday.

Sharad's Birthday Celebrations

Sharad kick-started his birthday celebrations and is seen posing along with his pet dog 'Chotu'. He shared a photo of him with his pet, surrounded by the balloons and wrote, "And the b'day begins...Thankuuuuu chotu !!!!"

Upon receiving numerous gifts from the fans on his special day, needless to say the actor was humbled by their gesture. In an interview to a leading entertainment portal, he told, "It felt very nice to receive so many gifts and love before my birthday."

The actor also spoke about his philosophy of life. He told, "It's nice to be important but it is more important to be nice". Point accepted!

For the uninitiated, the actor also tried his hands at stand up comedy. H was a part of Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza for a few weeks, but decided to quit the show due to hectic shooting schedule.

The actor seems to be quite happy in his personal life too, as he is dating Pooja Bisht.
