Sonu Nigam's Azaan tweets have been creating a lot of buzz. While a few actors from Bollywood and Television industry are supporting his tweets, a few others feel that being a popular celebrity, he should not have said that!
Recently, television actors, Divyanka Tripathi and Sunil Grover supported Sonu's Azaan tweet, while Saath Nibhana Saathiya actor Mohammad Nazim was against it. Now, other two popular actors of television have reacted to Sonu's tweets. While Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Saumya Tandon has supported Sonu, Divyanka's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-actor Aly Goni and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan have criticized his tweets! Read on....
Aly Goni Say....
Talking to an entertainment portal Aly Goni said, "I have been born and brought up in the city of temples. Where I use to live in Jammu, there were a lot of temples near my house and just one mosque."
For Aly, Bhajans Are Like Alarm!
"Every morning, Aarti used to go on in temples with a lot of bells ringing and bhajans being sung, and that was my alarm to wake up. I used to feel so good every morning to wake up to such positive energy."
Aly Says We Should Respect Each Others' Religion
"I still remember whenever there use to be Mata ka jagrata at the Azaan time in the morning, the jagrata people use to stop for 5 mins for the Azaan to take place peacefully. That's called respect, what we have for each other and will always have."
Aly Didn't Expect Such Words From Sonu Nigam!
"What all Sonu Nigam has said, I don't think so a famous personality like him should make such statements. He should not play with anyone's sentiments."
Sony Nigam Stands By His Statements!
Sonu took his stand and had tweeted, "Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period."
Saumya Tandon Supports Sonu Nigam
Saumya Tandon supported Sonu's stand and tweeted, "You don't need to scream and trouble others to prove how religious you are. @sonunigam agree. Let's first learn to respect each other."

She further tweeted, "And it's not about a particular religion , I don't support Ganesh Visarjan either , which spreads water pollution."
Ajaz Khan was quoted by ABP News as saying, "Sonu Nigam is my friend. I did not expect this from him. I used to have utmost respect for him but now I got zero admiration."
For the uninitiated, the singer was caught in controversy, after he was woken up by the sound of Azaan and called it as 'forced religiousness'.
He wrote, "God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India."
Within no time, he was trolled by Muslim community members and faced severe backlash on social media as his remarks were viewed as insensitive towards Muslims.
Nigam shaved his head after a Kolkata-based cleric announced a reward of Rs 10 Lakhs to anybody who can tonsure Sonu Nigam and garland him with old shoes.
