The much-awaited show, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji, a sequel to Diya Aur Baati Hum will hit your television screens today, April 3 at 1pm.
Star Plus' upcoming show, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji is grabbing eyeballs for its unique and interesting content. The show, which is a sequel to Diya Aur Baati Hum, will have actors Rhea Sharma and Avinash Rekhi in the lead roles. The opening episodes of the show have been shot in Kerala.
Neelu Vaghela, Ashok Lokhande and Kanika Maheshwari will reprise their roles from the first season. The story will move 20 years post Sooraj's death. In the promo, it was evident that Bhabho refuses to acknowledge Kanak, as her grand daughter, but Kanak loves her grandmother immensely and wants to win her love.

Kanica's Statement
Kanica Maheshwari, who will reprise the role of Meenakshi in the sequel spoek at length about her character in the sequel. She told, "Meenakshi has just aged on screen, but her ‘dialogue-baazi', ‘nok-jhok' with Bhabhoand jealousy over her sister-in-law's children remain the same."
Kanica Will Add her Own Flavour For Her Character
Furthermore, "Meenakshi became a popular character from ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum' and fans now recognize me with that character. For the sequel, ‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji', I have planned to add my own flavor and dialogues for my character which will make it even more engaging and interesting for the viewers", concludes Kanica.
Ashish Mehrotra To Enter The Show
Dahleez actor Ashish Mehrotra will soon enter the show as Mayank. He will play a positive role in the show. He will enter the show as a prospective groom for Kanak and the duo will gear up to get married.

As per the reports by a leading entertainment portal, "Viewers will get to see some really cute moments between Kanak and Mayank as they will walk towards getting married. But a sudden twist will change their equation and life."
Sukesh Anand & Sheetal Pandya
The very versatile Sukesh Anand will be seen in a very colourful role in the show. Reportedly, he will play a comic role and joining him would be Sheetal Pandya, who has done shows such as Udaan and Chidiya Ghar. Sheetal will play the role of Rani, a small town girl, full of drama and madness.
A Spark Of Comedy
As per the reports by a leading entertainment portal, "Sukesh will play the middle class father of Rani who would be making his living by having a chat stall. However, he would always dream to keep his daughter happy. The father and daughter would have a unique liking for the English language, even though they would have no great knowledge on it. This would always lead to hilarious consequences."
Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji will focus on the journey of Sooraj and Sandhya's children Kanak, Ved and Vansh. The show will hit your television screens today, April 3 at 1 pm.
