We had recently reported that Swaragini actress Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar has bagged Sony TV's new show. The new show will be produced by the creators of iconic shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Punar Vivah, Tumhari Paakhi, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai - Shashi Sumeet Production.

Apparently, the show is based on Yash Chopra's classic film Lamhe - the movie that had shocked the viewers with a bold romance theme. The movie starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead roles.

Tejaswi's new show is named ‘Pahredaar Piya Ki'. The actress will be seen in a Rajasthani avatar. The show's shooting has already begun in Udaipur and the promo will be aired soon.

It is said that the actress will be paired opposite Afaan Khan, a 10-year-old. His character is supposedly inspired by Anil Kapoor's role.

Show Is Set In The Backdrop Of Rajasthan!
The show is set against the backdrop of Rajasthan. On the show, Tejaswi's father works for a royal family. Under certain circumstances, the girl will be put in charge of the 10-year-old Prince, who falls in love with her.
There are also reports that Jiten Lalwani, who was seen in Krishnadasi, has been roped in to play the lead actor's uncle.
When asked about the show Tejaswi was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "I cannot reveal a lot about my character but I am playing a royalty in the show. We have been shooting in Udaipur for a while now and I noticed that the idea of kings and queens was not just in the past and that it is prevalent even today."
She added, "The only difference is that now, those palatial houses are converted into hotels. So, to make it clear, the time of the show is not set in the ancient era. The story is of today and is very much relatable, where I play a princess."
When asked what made the actress accept the role, Tejaswi said, "I have always experimented with my characters and this is something I was hooked on to, the moment it fell in my hands. It's interesting and challenging in its own way."
Tejaswi became popular with the show Swaragini. She has huge fan base and we are sure they are waiting for Tejaswi to be back on small screen soon.
