Apparently, Karan saw Ankita two years ago, during Lohri, and Karan's co-actor (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) Aly Goni helped them to unite.

During Lohri, Ankita took to social media. Aly Goni too, wrote, "2 years bak same day on lori wen @TheKaranPatel Ist time saw @AnkzBhargava nd he was like yar Aly she is cute. Baaki mene sambhal liya 😂😉." Karan replied to Aly, "Hahahahaha @AlyGoni .... live you chotte ...!!"

It has to be recalled that Karan had said that Aly is like a real brother to him and he was the one who got them together. Aly wanted to see Karan settled. He was quoted by an entertainment website as saying, "I don't know when these things got transpired in his mind, and he introduced us. He has been instrumental in finding love for both of us."

Karan and Ankita's relationship has been under media scanner. It was said that all is not well between them. But the couple had proved it wrong.
