Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was one of the finest sitcom shows ever made in the history of Indian television. The show, which revolved around a posh Gujarati family - the Sarabhais in Mumbai, has attained a cult status and the running gags of the same, are remembered till date.

The show stars Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar in the lead roles. After a decade, the show is all set to make a comeback on public demand, but as a 10-episode web series. Reportedly, the show will take a 7-year leap and will go on air in the month of May.

The season 2 will return with the same cast, but they will be introducing new characters. The shoot of the show is going on in full swing and producer JD Mathejia gave a sneak peek of the same, a few days ago. Recently, it was reported that the show will return to television, as well. However, JD Mathejia rubbished all the rumours.

In an interview to a leading entertianment portal, he told, "No it's not true. There is no such planning that I know of. Having said that it is Star Group's property so they have full authority to put it on air whenever they want."

"We are making Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai for Hotstar as we want to make that platform strong. TV would be anyday better but we haven't had any discussion with the channel. We are making the show for web and not for TV," concluded the producer.
