Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was ruling the TRP charts since the beginning. But, after the main leads of the show - Karan Mehra, Hina Khan and Rohan Mehra quit the show, the show's TRP dropped drastically. There was a point when the viewers gave up on the show but the makers tried their best to impress the audiences yet again with the fresh track of Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi)!

The producer, Rajan Shahi was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "It feels great to see Yeh Ristha doing well. I give credit to the entire team and star plus's faith in our show. He added, "It takes a lot of efforts to make a successful show, and I always respect the hard work by actors, creative team and the technicians. I have worked from the grass root level."
