In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, although the Goenka family has accepted Naira (Shivangi Joshi), she will be facing a lot of challenges before getting married to Kartik (Mohsin Khan). Kartik's father and Dadi will be seen troubling Naira.
While the family members are all busy with Kartik and Naira's marriage preparations, Naira will be facing issues because of Kartik's Dadi's orthodox and strict nature. Read on to check out the latest spoilers with pictures....
Naira In Goenka House
We had already reported that Naira enters the Goenka house before marriage. She steps into 'kumkum water' by mistake and does the gruh pravesh.
Naira Saves Kush
Although it was to save Kush (who was trapped inside the cupboard), Kartik's Dadi (who is too orthodox),that a girl entering the house before marriage is inauspicious. She calls the pandit to rectify the same. Shockingly, the pandit suggests the name change.
Kartik’s Dadi Wants Naira To Change Her Name!
Kartik's Dadi now wants Naira to change her name to Sumedha. She reveals to the Singhania family that her name ‘Naira' doesn't have a meaning and should change the name. She tells everyone that she is doing this for Kartik and Naira's happiness!
Goenka Family
Even Goenka family support Dadi and reveals to the Singhania family about how Goenka family's ladies changed the names before marriage.
Naira
The Singhania family members are shocked and do not believe in all these. Even Naira opposes the same. She reveals to Dadi that she is ready to do any pooja but not to change her name.
Naksh Supports Naira
Even Naksh supports Naira and tries to convince Dadi. He reveals to Dadi, the meaning of his and Naira's names. He tells Dadi that their names are combination of their parents names (Akshara and Naitik) and it is unacceptable to change the name. But, Kartik's Dadi do not listen to him.
Kartik Supports Dadi!
For the first time, Kartik goes against the Singhania family. Although he doesn't tell Dadi that Naira would change the name, he reveals to Dadi that they will do what is good for them.
Kartik-Naira
Naira is shocked and upset with Kartik. Later, to change Naira's mood, they go out to have a tea. It is then he tries to make Naira understand that how much he loves his Dadi and do not want to hurt her. He reveals to her that they will handle the matter carefully without hurting anyone.
Story So Far...
Goenka family members get ready for Kartik's Tilak ceremony. They invite the Maheshwari and Singhania family members.
The families arrive at the Goenka Mansion, but Kartik's Dadi is shocked to see the girls and stops them as they are not allowed. When they were about to return, Manish stops them.
Kartik's Dadi is upset and tells Manish that she is strict with the rituals, while Manish asks her to ignore it and look into the solution later! Dadi also shouts at her servant as he would be wearing black clothes.
Naitik and Bau ji worry as they had got a black suit for Kartik. They ask Naksh to buy new clothes for Kartik from a nearby store.
But, Naksh will be stopped by Dadi as he had to do the 'tilak rasam' for Kartik, while Naitik worries about Kartik's suit!
On the other hand, Naira will be shown the Tilak rasam through a video call.
In the upcoming episode, as per the ritual, Naitik will be asked to wash the groom's feet, but Kartik opposes.
